Long-time Friend of Matakki, and newly appointed Matakki Mentor Alex Burt is in the spotlight today.
Owner and proprietor of the Teddy Edwards brand, Alex has been involved with Matakki Scissors for a long while, cutting and presenting on many of our previous show stages. Alex then offered his assistance in another capacity this year at Barber Connect, one of our first shows without a cutting stage in years! This didn’t matter to Alex, he decided he would instead give up his weekend of beers and mingling to instead join us on the stand to offer his expert advice. From personal experience using our tools in his own haircuts, Alex was the perfect addition to our team! Always making an effort to go the extra mile as he always does!
Alex himself has worked in many huge events and has been nominated for a plethora of awards, most recently he has secured a nomination from the modern barber awards and has now been shortlisted for the best all around barber as a finalist. Teddy Edwards has also secured 2 shop nominations from modern barber as well, best Client experience and best shop interior!
