Michael Andrew Veitch started hairdressing at 15, and knew immediately it was going to be the industry for him. As soon as he started out he knew he would like to be recognised within the industry; working shows and giving educational demonstrations around the country. Having joined various industry-wide artistic teams and being nominated for several BHA’s Michael revels in everything hairdressing. He has been lucky enough to have worked with some of the greats on photographic shoots and stage work and loves giving back to an industry that he finds so inspiring. The collaboration between Matakki and The King and I is going to be a great success, and working with all the other ambassadors to create something special is something he is really looking forward to.
Other than marrying my beautiful wife and having two kids of course, I would have to say my proudest achievement would be being nominated for the British hairdressing awards.
I get inspiration from so many people within the industry its so hard to choose just one, I take inspiration from every single hairdresser I meet. There is always more to be learnt and I love the diversity and uniqueness that runs throughout hairdressing.
